Hello, I am Sarah

I am a counsellor based on the Sunshine Coast, offering a calm, warm and supportive space where individuals and couples can explore their experiences, relationships and personal challenges without judgement.

My approach is grounded in authenticity, respect and care, and I am committed to creating an inclusive counselling space for people from all walks of life, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples. I aim to meet each person with openness and sensitivity, supporting them to feel heard, understood and accepted as they work through what matters to them.

ABOUT
Areas of Support

I have a deep interest in people and the complexity of human experience, particularly how our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life transitions shape the way we move through the world. I support clients navigating challenges such as relationship difficulties, anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, and self-esteem concerns.

My Background and Approach

I originally trained in science as a biologist, which shaped the way I observe, question and seek to understand the complexity of people and their experiences. This background continues to influence my counselling approach, combining curiosity, careful observation and thoughtful reflection.

My counselling approach is primarily person-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I believe that every person brings their own unique experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I strive to create a counselling experience that is tailored to your individual needs and goals. Depending on these needs, I may draw on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and Gottman Method principles for relationship work.

What You Can Expect

What matters most to me in my work is creating a space where you feel genuinely met — where things can slow down, be explored safely, and understood with care.

My hope is that through our work together, you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more supported as you move towards what matters to you.
